Remember my post : An Open Letter to the Scrapbook Publications, someone shared it on Scrap Smack and it was just brought to my attention. And pssstt..I think Scrap Smack ROCKS!! I am all about women who can be honest and say whats on their mind!!
I admit I whine {from time to time}, but must be honest when I tell you that when I wrote this original post I was not whining, just frustrated.
I don’t care to be published. Been there, done it–in a huge national magazine geared towards women..not just scrapbooking. {oh, if that sounds snarky, Please know it is not meant to sound that way!!} I don’t care to be famous to millions. I am famous to my husband and three children, family and close friends!
I just want to see some variety. Babies, toddlers, teenagers, young adults, middle aged adults, old people and just plain everyday life. When a contest is decided for a photo for the front page why does there have to be an age restriction of 2-7 years old? How about ‘any age’.
For me to see the variety that I want to see I will continue to find it via the internet and blogs. This fits for me. May not fit for everyone, and thats what makes this hobby so unique–there’s no one size fit’s all.

I just went in and read some of the comments……gave me a lttle bit of a chuckle…….and I agree variety is the name of the game here……love mom Fran
It is sad that people get their panties all bunched up their “tisstiss” and can’t even think with their brain because the blood is backed up.
Some of the comments were honest and others were pure “coughing up hairballs”. It is too bad people can’t write an opinion in a manner that is acceptable to all viewers. Lots of hate in this crafty field.
Hugs Jen for your honesty. You brought out many rats in the scrapping clan. LOL.
No, you weren’t smacked. Many people agree with you including me.
