Oliver

JBP2009

Oliver is an AKC Miniature Schnauzer. He was born February 7th, and has already stolen my heart!! He was my {early} happy graduation present to myself.

Today was my Adult Client final. Per usual the final was absolutely brutal. Tomorrow morning I have to take the Hesi Exam. Monday morning is my Psych final exam, and Wednesday is my last Med Surg clinical. Looking forward to Monday morning to come and be over so a bit of this anxiety may leave me!

Well, much to write, but I am going to attempt to do some reading on Anorexia and Bulimia. Until next time..

Mojo Monday and stuff

RN Journey, Scrapbooking & Rubberstamping | Monday 27 April 2009 6:33 am

Good Morning Friends!!

Waking up to Mojo Monday, here is my creation.

JBP2009

SEnding out a request: As {some of} you may be aware, my daughter recently became engaged with plans of an August 2010 wedding. I would like to create a special scrapbook album for her based on “Wisdom, Quotes & Advice from Married Women”. I hope you will take a moment to leave a comment with a piece of wisdom, quote or advice. Please be sure to leave your name and city/state that you live also.

This morning will be my last morning to drive to school and sit thru a Psych lecture. Our final lecture is on Eating Disorders and Chronic Illness. It still feels surreal that all that is remaining to this semester is two final exams. Adult Client final exam on Thursday and Psych final exam the upcoming Monday. This four year journey of attending college full time is coming to a close and not only am I nervous and full of anxiety, but I still don’t know what I want to be when I {grow up}. I am looking forward to passing these two finals and seeing where my life is going to take me.

There are a few people in the dark concerning a recent post about meeting with my Army recruiter last week. I have been in the beginning phase with my Army recruiter for almost a year now. Now that I am within weeks of graduation it was officially the time to go over my paperwork that I filled out what seems like forever ago. My medical paperwork is now in the first step of the process: to receive an approval for an Army physical. My recruiter is anticipating a denial and he will then send the request thru for a waiver, and from there I will be given my date. I am not sure if I will make it thru the medical physical, but I am going to give it a try. Upon passing the medical part I would then leave for officer training at some point for 26 days, come back home and be obligated to the Army Reserves one weekend a month, and two weeks a year for the number of years that I enlist for. For {me} the Army Reserves will help me financially related to college loans debt, give me an extra income, and as an Army Nurse I will have the ability to learn things that I may never be able to encounter in the civilian sector as a Nurse. I am excited about this possibility, and hope that I am approved…I of course will keep you all posted on the final decision.

If you missed Saturdays Unscripted Sketches I hope you’ll take a few minutes to visit and play/or look at the great work by the Designers and people who played along with Saturdays sketch.

Well, I need to grab my books and head out the door so that I’m not late for lecture. I hope your Monday is a beautiful one!! Until next time…

Everyday Sunday

Everyday Life | Sunday 26 April 2009 1:55 pm

Happy Sunday friends! It has been a beautiful day here in Maine.

I’ve snuck in a few minutes working on my couponing and figuring out my strategy for the week. Not finished yet, but gotta tell you that I love MY coupon organizer. And to answer a question, it is not overly large, it is approx 8 1/2 x 7 in size. I have a couple more ideas to organize my book better, but it’ll have to wait just now.

This may sound morbid…I personally have huge death issues.  Don’t like it, don’t feel it should take place, {isn’t that a wonderful idea…the ability to aggravate your children forever!}, but I love visiting old cemetaries. I enjoy walking thru and reading the stories and imagining what that person was like. Some of the monuments are truly gorgeous and pieces of art, and the Angels always reach out to me, like this Angel.

Isn’t she absolutely beautiful!

Hope your Sunday has been a great one. Until later–

Saturday travels

Everyday Life, Scrapbooking & Rubberstamping | Saturday 25 April 2009 6:13 pm

JBP2009

I love stopping in and visiting Michaels, but because it is well over an hour from me I don’t get there often. A few months ago when I was in the area I stopped in and just was not impressed. The same ‘ole, same ‘ole that had been there the previous visit that was almost 6 months prior. Well today we were in the area and stopped in, and wow is all that I have to say. Lots of new product, and tons on clearance/sale.

I ended up picking up a me & my Big ideas paper pack, MS classic butterfly punch, a Cuttlebug embossing folder: It’s A Boy, and a new EK success edger punch: swiss cheese. Saw tons of things that I {needed/wanted}, unfortunately that budget got in the way.

Stopped and visited the Maine Vietnam Veterans Memorial. No words can describe how this monument made me feel.

And if you are wondering, yes I studied while in the vehicle. Had to take breaks from reading as reading in a car makes me feel a little sea-sick {dang old age!!}.

I hope your Saturday was a great one! Talk to you later.

Couponing, and ramblings…

Everyday Life, RN Journey | Thursday 23 April 2009 3:25 pm

Hello Thursday!! This morning was my last Adult Client III lecture. Insert a sigh of huge relief  here. I am so thankful this was our last lecture, because this specific Professor goes off on tangents so badly that she is impossible most of the time to understand, let alone follow/figure out. Our final for Adult Client is Thursday…let the anxiety and stress, I mean, studying begin!

After lecture I ran a few errands and used a few coupons. Here is what I picked up:

JBP2009

A tad bit over $30.00 total. My cost = Free. Yep, all free!! And I have to tell you, these candles smell delicious!!

JBP2009

Well friends, I am going to run along now. Need to get myself focused and try to get a couple of hours of studying in before I call it a night. Hope your day has been a great one!!
