Don’t smother each other. No one can grow in shade. -Leo Buscaglia
Still not sure that today was actually here considering that it is almost over…and I have gotten nothing accomplished. Hate when that happens.
The boys and I had stopped at a yardsale on the way home yesterday and I saw a set of candelabras. Thought about them last night, and this morning I took a ride to see if they were still there, and I was in luck. The young woman told me she used them for her wedding reception and that she had paid $250.00 for the pair. Well I have them and hope Toni likes them, as much as I think she will. If not, well I’ll have a pair of candleabras for sale

I would love to hear about your wedding planning wisdom! Do’s/Don’ts…special gifts that you bought for your maid of honor/bridesmaids? If you could do anything differently, what would it be?
I hope your Saturday was a great one! For here, I am going to close. Talk to you tomorrow!

OMG I LOVE THOSE!!!! I need to do some yard saling to find some CUTE stuff for my wedding!
I don’t really have any good tips….since I’m also in the planning stage…. but I have found that wedding stuff costs TWICE as much as anything else would cost (or more) so the more things you can do yourself, the more personalized AND more economical it is. For my bridesmaids I bougth some silk bags when I was in Singapore and I’m going to fill them with goodies for my girls as a thank you for everything. I’m tryingg to get things slowly to spread out the cost and the stress of getting evevrything done. i think I know what I’m doing for favors (finally) and I’m coming up with invitiation ideas right now, even though I still have 6 months to go, since I’ll be making them myself. Anyhow…. I think I have to go yard saling now. How CUTE is that candelabra!
The one thing I try to tell everyone is ” Don’t let others change your mind”. Like if you want black tuxes, then that’s what you should have. I let to many people talk me out of things, that by the time it was over, it was their wedding not mine.
what a lovely candelabra! very elegant and timeless.
Wedding Advices:
1.) it’s all in the details, not in the amount you paid for.
2.) if you’re the type who normally wouldn’t settle for “just okay” then best you don’t – because you might end up regretting it when you remember your special day. see if you can scrimp on something else to get what you would be happy with.
3.) spend time to savour the moment, it will last a lifetime in one’s memories
