Puppy Ramblings

JBP2009

I worked on that to-do list early this morning and got a lot accomplished…most of it being paperwork stuff related to my unemployment, scheduled an appointment with the vet for Olivers 12 week shots, etc.

I packed up a bag for Oliver. His blankie, fresh water and his water bowl, treats, and a couple of his favorite toys. Yeah, I’m pathetic! and we hit the road to run some errands.

We dropped Keith off at Borders and Oliver and I headed to the mall. I walked him for a few minutes, made sure the windows were appropriate, filled his water bowl with some water and ran into the mall. Twenty minutes later I came out after making my purchase and as I was walking to my truck there was no noise from Oliver which scared me…then I said Oliver and ohmy gosh is all I have to say. I think he told his momma that I could never leave him again!!

We picked Keith up at Borders then a trip to Walmart and Target where Oliver stayed with Keith in the vehicle.

To answer a question that I’ve had a few emails concerning…we have crated Oliver once, and the only reason was because he was going to be home without his humans for too many hours alone. The crate will be used only for situations like that, and hopefully they will be few and far in between. The thought of keeping this little guy crated is not an option in our home. And yes, he sleeps with me every night. I do have to share that he is a snuggler, but quite the little bed hog. So happy I have this little guy. My patience was wearing thin a few days back when he pooped in the house three times…but I’m over it, and just reminding myself, he is a puppy and is learning.

So, we decided to take Oliver to the City Forest for a walk. {insert sound of brakes here} Imagine our surprise when we walked down in only to find a sign saying no dogs allowed. Jeesh!! So we walked…or I should say, Oliver walked us…

But he’s so cute?!! How could you not want to take him everywhere! So glad he’s doing better – maybe with all the changes, new faces, etc. it just threw him off. He’ll get better as he gets older. Miss that little guy! Copper seems huge compared to Oliver…and yes, he’s very happy that I’m home. Except for that bath I gave him earlier today. LOL… damn fleas!

Just get one of those dog purses and hide him. That’s what people do around here. It’s ridiculous how much they pay for the purse too.
