Life, and Thoughts on Michael Jackson & Farrah Fawcett

I found this complete set of Currier & Ives seasonal plates. Ohhhhh, how I love vintage!! Not sure exactly where I’ll be hanging these…

Quick run into PetCo, and I had to pick Oliver up a special treat…

He was so excited about his little treat I had a hard time getting a picture of him as I couldn’t get him to get into the back of the truck.

I am going to do a search for a good recipe so I can make them for Oliver.

My heart and thoughts go out to the family and loved ones of Michael Jackson. A true Pop Icon, that as a teenager I grew up with. Driving down the road this afternoon I was offended to hear that one of the DJ’s was not going to play a tribute to Michael Jackson during her program. Seriously folks, we all have ‘our opinions’, but unless we were there at that moment that the supposed crime/inappropriateness took place, we do not know the truth, and never will. I feel confident that he was acquitted by a jury of his own peers for a reason. Keith mentioned that he read …Michael Jackson never had a childhood, now he will never know old age. And we have missed out on his return scheduled for next month. As said, Michael Jackson was a part of my teen years. I loved his music then, and I still love it now.

And who didn’t/or couldn’t love Farrah Fawcett. Not many of us didn’t have that poster of her wearing the red bathing suit hanging in our bedroom…my thoughts and prayers to her family. So sad that Cancer has taken another life! But, how damn brave of this woman to video her fight against Cancer. You know when bad things happen to us we can choose to be a victim. Sometimes, I think its much easier for people to label themselves as victims. Farrah refused to be a victim, and fought to be a survivor. If her story reaches to prevent one person to stop being a victim, and to be a survivor, she will have made a huge difference.

Goodnight, and hold your loved ones close…
