Friday LOve

Everyday Life, Oliver | Friday 31 July 2009 6:05 pm

Happy Friday everyone…especially if the next two days belong to you and not a time clock. My day has raced by as usual. Got a few things situated in the house and my Unscripted project completed, dropped Matthew off at the Bangor State Fair and came directly home, didn’t feel like ‘window shopping’.

Todays Project 365 photo is a common happening. Oliver standing up peeking out one of the livingroom windows. Usually one of the cats is in the window when Oliver does this and that is a pretty comical sight as the cats don’t much care to share the space with him.

Here’s to a wonderful weekend ahead of us. Until tomorrow…and don’t forget Sketch 17 at Unscripted Sketches will be posted tomorrow morning.

Adornit Blog Hop

Blog Party, Everyday Life, Scrapbooking & Rubberstamping | Thursday 30 July 2009 10:23 pm

Hello friends, and new friends! I am so happy to be a part of the Adornit Blog Hop.

For those of you who are new to This Everyday Life, my name is Jenny and I live in the beautiful, wet state of Maine. I am momma to three young adults, one Princess and two guys, Toni, Reggie and Matthew, and married to Keith. I’m also momma to the most adorable little minature schnauzer, Oliver. I just recently graduated from Nursing school, and unfortunately am waiting to take the NCLEX for the second time. [insert huge humiliation and tears here].

I was a happy scrapbooker, or so I thought, until my bestfriend Sharon sent me a rubberstamp and an ink pad a number of years ago [I still have the rubberstamp!!], and since that day I have fallen in love with adding rubberstamps to my scrapbooking. As of the past few years I have found I do much better creating mini albums and quick projects, and that leads me to my Adornit Blog Hop project. I chose to create a mini album with photos of the flowers in the flower garden in the front of my house and the flowers on my back deck. Acrylic paint, patterned paper and a paper punch, and I am very pleased with the end results…My Summer Favorites

Heirloom Party!!

Blog Party, Everyday Life | Thursday 30 July 2009 9:41 pm

Hey Everyone!! Another busy day. I was able to paint the two bird houses and ladder today, and hopeful that I’ll be able to put them outside tomorrow. Much to say, but time is ticking, and I must find myself in the shower and in bed with Eclipse…

Because time is ticking by so quickly as of lately, I thought something in relation to time would be a great photo for my Project 365 photo.

Interested in a Heirloom Blog Party? Marie at Emma Calls Me Mama is hosting this great Blog Party, and here are a few photos to join in with Marie and others.

JBP 2009

Neither item are ‘real’ Heirlooms as they didn’t belong to my great grandparents etc, but to me they are important items that will be Heirlooms.

Keith bought me the pearl necklace for our wedding. He gave it to me the morning of our wedding on 02/02/02. My daughter, Toni, is getting married August of 2010, and I am hoping that she will wear it…

Mrs. Beasley doll is from 1968. I loved A Family Affair, often wishing I was Buffy. I cannot wait to have a granddaughter so I can introduce her to my Mrs. Beasley.

Tomorrow I will be participating in Adornit’s Blog Party. I hope you’ll be back to see what I have created, and follow the other party participant blogs!

Until later, I hope your day has been a beautiful one. And before I forget, if you choose to follow my blog, please be sure to leave me a comment with your link so I can follow you also!

HOw did this happen?

Everyday Life, Photography | Wednesday 29 July 2009 7:29 pm

How the heck did Wednesday get here so quickly and how is it possible that it is almost over?!

I had an OMT appointment this morning, and all I can say is what a difference. I have a lot of pain on the left side of my groin/pelvic bone area and the doctor believes that my Psoas muscle is contracted. He reminded me that when I wake up tomorrow morning I am probably going to be pretty uncomfortable from his manipulations, but if helps make this muscle let go and stop spasming it will be worth it. I get to see him again in 2 weeks.

I primed two birdhouses and the wooden ladder that Kari and I found yardsaling together last summer. Ended up doing it down cellar because the weather was looking iffy.

JBP 2009

I’ll be heading down into the cellar tomorrow to paint them all white….here’s a picture of the ladder out on my back deck so you can see what I am doing with it. Tomorrow I’ll carry the bench down and prime that also…

So, today’s project leads me to todays Project 365 photo.

JBP 29/365

This birds nest was inside the birdhouse in the front of the picture.

I worked on a mini-album tonight, hopefully will have it completed tomorrow morning….so it’s been a pretty busy day, haven’t gotten everything accomplished that I should/need, and did no studying.

Well friends the house is watching Coraline so I am going to run along…until tomorrow.

Tiredness…

Family | Tuesday 28 July 2009 9:02 pm

Hey Friends!! This has been one heck of a busy day. Spent most of the day with my mom and Matthew helping clean a trailer. I am exhausted to say the least.

I forgot to bring my camera with me [ugh]. So here’s a quick photo for my Project 365. My Kaplan book that I am already sick of, but have to say it has opened my eyes and making me feel much more confident about the NCLEX.

I am exhausted and need to call this a night. Until tomorrow…

So excited!!

Oliver | Monday 27 July 2009 6:12 pm

She tried to keep the secret from me, but today I found out that my daughter, Toni, is coming home for a visit at the end of September. She did pretty dang good keeping the secret considering she bought the plane tickets almost 3 weeks ago!! I am soooo excited to spend some time with her.

When my children were babies I used to pick them up and tell them that I was going to love ‘em, and kiss ‘em, and hug ‘em forever. I think I’ll have to love, kiss and hug her so tightly that she can’t return back to North Carolina!! I hate being this many miles away from her…

Here is today’s Project 365 photo

JBP 27/365

My little traitor, Oliver. Who like my family, the minute he hears my camera turns away, walks away or puts his head down. So I decided to lie on the floor and get the perfect photo of him….wasn’t an easy task, and this was the best photo I ended up with.

I finished reading New Moon last night. Loved it!! Looking forward to moving on to Eclipse.

WEll friends, I could ramble on, and on, but my tummy has been a bit wobbly feeling all day, so I am going to find myself in the shower and situate myself for the night. Until tomorrow…
