1958-2009
It feels surreal and strange when you think of it…it is amazing to think how much of an impact a celebrity can make in a persons life. We never [know] them, and yet we join in on their happiness, and we mourn them.
As a teenager I loved Michael Jackson. I had his albums, and was the proud owner of one of those huge black velvet paintings of him [I wonder whatever became of it?]. And you know, it was pretty cool when the high school played “We are the World” over the intercom. He has faced a lot of tragedies in his life. The loss of a normal life, accusations, frivolous lawsuits etc.
Michael Jackson gave us beautiful music that touched our hearts and souls. And I spent many hours listening to that beautiful music growing up in the caveman era–you know, when you had 4 television channels, no internet, no iPods, etc.
My heart aches for this loss, and for his three children. My heart aches that we have lost a true icon…
So many favorite songs that I would never be able to pick just one…but feel that You are not Alone is a fitting farewell.
Peace and LOve, Jenny
