Oliver woke me up again at 6am this morning. Err. I finally rolled out of bed at 7am because he wouldn’t stop snorting at me. He is so dang funny. He didn’t fool around when he got outside!! Usually he walks around [insert lalalala here]. He has to find the ‘perfect’ spot to relieve himself. Well not this morning so that made me happy!!
A couple years ago while Sharon was visiting me we found this metal headboard and footboard set on the side of the road for free. I am embarrassed to admit that they have been sitting outside beside our cellar door ever since. They are going to look beautiful in our guest bedroom [someday], but since that is not a possibility right now, this morning I decided to tackle them.
Before:

I brushed the metal with a wire brush and pulled out the trusty spray paint. Unfortunately I’ve run out of spray paint and still have the footboard to finish.
After:

Bet you’re wondering what I’m going to do with them, huh? Well, unfortunately I’m not going to have any good photos to share with you this year, but I’ll give you a hint where you’ll see them…in the gardens!!
Stopped at a yardsale and picked this wooden ‘shelf’ up for a couple of pennies. I’m not exactly sure what it was used for, it had a lot of dust on it and there was circles visible on the shelves, thinking it held cups, but not sure. Well I forgot to take a before spraypaint photo, but here it is after it was spraypainted. [have I mentioned that I LOVE spray paint?]

I decided to use it for my little herb garden. I love it!! and I’ve decided to use this photo as my Project 365 photo for today.

It’s been such a beautiful day we worked on the backyard for a bit and prepping for a dump run on Thursday. This of course is when I wished we still had a pickup truck as I hate using my vehicle for a dump run. Oh well, it could be worse.
For here I am going to close down and see what else I can get accomplished. Hope your day has been a beautiful one. Until tomorrow–
