FOr the love of BOoks!!

Everyday Life,RN Journey | Thursday 6 August 2009 11:32 pm

Hi Friends!! Another day has gotten away from me. Trying so hard to organize/simplify my life, but time just isn’t on my side.

New project. Clean off the bookcase in the livingroom. Two years worth of Nursing textbooks and lecture notes. Can’t bring myself to discard them right now.

I’m kind of embarrassed to show my bookcase in my livingroom.

This is basically how it has looked for two years now during nursing school.

Three shelves filled with everything nursing. I look at this bookcase everyday and just feel overwhelmed by its appearance.

And the after.

So this morning, I took every book off, packed up all of the nursing books and lecture notes that I don’t need right now and organized the books. I kept the nursing books that I need right now and put them on the bottom two shelves.

All of the other books are unread and I am planning once I finish reading Breaking Dawn I am going to just grab a book and begin reading so I can replace the read books with new ones. :)

All of the nursing text books that I no longer need, and some books that I won’t need until next year, along with my lecture notes have found a new home in this tote and will find a home up in the dark crevices of the attic.

Here is my Project 365 photo for today

This is what I woke up to find this morning. Isn’t Pyro so adorable!!

Well friends, you know the routine…I have to run along so I can get to finding out what is going on with Bella and Edward!! Until tomorrow…

Wouldn’t you just love to come organize my books now??? I have three bookcases at home and one still at my parents. I probably have a couple of boxes full somewhere too! lol

Love this post! I’ve got a couple of book shelves that need attention…plus I’m thinking of moving the small lizard cage up into boy #2′s bedroom (and OUT of my kitchen!) and putting a narrow-ish bookshelf there….ahhh, don’t get me started! :D I shouldn’t read your posts, you make me want to reorganize, rearrange, redo!

Hi Jenny, I Googled UMA, NUR 101, Augusta or something similar and landed on your site. I learned so much from your RN Journey such as where do I sew the patches on my scrubs, will every NUR class require $300+ for books etc…I start that journey in 3 weeks and am also a mother and a wife. I appreciate your honesty about the amount of sweat and tears – I thank you for sharing. Suzanne
