Everyday Life

Everyday Life | Sunday 9 August 2009 9:44 pm

A few months ago I began writing my {Simply Sunday} posts. Focusing on things that are important to me that may be of interest to my friends and family also.

  • Frugal Living
  • Living Healthy[ier]
  • Organization/Simplicity
  • Creating a beautiful home
  • Sharing links/ideas/information/inspiration
  • Being the Best mother, wife, friend, person that I can be

I have been thinking about my {Simply Sunday} segment and have decided to switch it up a little more. If you’ve been following my blog since 2005 you know this is the norm for me.

I have decided to rename my Sunday post, Everyday Life.

Healthy[ier] living is very important to me. I do the best that I can for myself and my family, and I have thrown out a number of tips and suggestions, but I have decided that this is not an area I want to ‘focus’ on any longer on my blog. I will continue to share information, but I will no longer add my personal suggestions/tips etc publically.

I know my way around my laptop to do the things I need to do in my everyday life. When I’m working I am also able to do the things I need to do to get thru my workday. When I was having problems I’d yell to my co-worker Kari, and she’d usually get me out of my messes that I had created. But, I have to admit I cannot do the fancy schmancy stuff that Jeryn and Sharon do. Sometimes I fight so badly with photoshop I just whine and give up. Well, watch out folks, because I have found a website that does step by step tutorials. Coffee Shop for Photoshop.

And if you enjoy textures like I do…

I may not be able to create digital elements, but watch out as I figure out how to use these elements to bring my photos to life!!

I love my Betty Crocker cookbook. I believe I bought it around the time Reggie was born, 1990.

Needless to say, it has seen better days, but shows the proof that it has been used thru the years. I do have to admit that out of the entire book there are only a few recipes that we use time and time again. As I am trying to simplify my life, I found these adorable recipe cards that you can download and upload into photoshop and add your recipes onto. I am thinking I will print my cards out sized 4×6 and laminate them. The Sweet Treats recipe card template are cute also!

I found a great cleaning checklist from Martha Stewart and My Simpler Life has a great back to school checklist.

As many times as I drive past this old house I can’t help but wonder who lived there…

I hope your weekend has been a beautiful one. Until tomorrow.
