2nd Time Around

Blog Party | Monday 17 August 2009 11:33 pm

Another hot day here. Ugh.

Today is my youngest child, Matthews 18th birthday. Unfortunately I have seen him for just a few minutes today as he has been out and out about, so no birthday dinner or cake tonight, and I was unable to get a picture of him today. I’ll be ready with my camera in hand when he comes home tonight from the movies tho….[if I'm still awake!]

I came across a great blog called A Picture is Worth a 1,000 Words. Every Tuesday they host a 2nd Time Around Tuesday to show off your second hand treasures. I shared this picture a few weeks ago. I found this set at a yard sale and paid $2.00 for everything. I am so in love with this design, and hoping to find pieces to match.

Here’s my Project 365 photo for today. A peek down my street.

It is a little difficult to see, but at the end of the photo is a blue building. That building is actually located on Main Street and the blue that you can see behind it is the water.

Well friends, another night coming to a quick end. I hope your day has been a beautiful one. Until tomorrow…

Your dishes are so old fashioned and sweet. I don’t blame you for falling in love with them. AND for $2.00! You lucky girl! I would say you scored! :)

How nice to be so close to the water! It’s amazing that with the ocean (or even a river) nearby you don’t get a seabreeze or at least a bit of a break from this heat!!!!

Hi Jenny,I don’t think we can possibly know what is in the mind of an 18 year old. Happy Birthday to your son. Don’t worry he is making his own birthday celebration doing something he wants to do.

I love your lovely dishes. I am sure you will find pieces to match your new found set.

Your photo down your street looks like a very pleasant place to live. Have a happy day.

    Hugs…Jeanne

Oh…your life sounds like my life with my daughter that will be 18 next week. She is always on the go..go..go. We sent her off to college on Friday. It’s really not any different because she was always gone but in my heart I know it’s different. I really like your dish set. I’m a lover of old dihes. I don’t know why but I am drawn to them. Have a lovely day!!
