Random Wednesday…

Blog Party,Everyday Life | Wednesday 30 September 2009 10:15 pm

How’d Wednesday, and the last day of September sneak up on us so quickly? I hate to say goodbye to September because that puts us that much closer to those bad four-letter word: [cold] and [snow].

Two Blog Party/Meme’s for Today

JBP2009

Today at “I Want …. ” Wednesday the question is, What do you want to do outside? I want to get the gardens cleaned up for the season.

That’s My Answer! asks, Everything is [peachy].

Today’s photo for Project 365

Another up and early, lots to do and get accomplished today. Had to be at the oral surgeons office this morning for my youngest son to have his wisdom teeth out. The procedure went flawless and he is doing well.

Need to move along, so until tomorrow-

WHirlwind kind of DAy

Home Sweet Home… Picked up Becky aka Pregnant girlfriend #1 this morning for another ultrasound today at the hospital. Of course getting her from point A to point B is not that easy. On the way to the hospital we had to do a side trip to Burger King, after the appointment we had to do a side trip to Dairy Queen….for her ‘grazing’ as she calls it. And we won’t even discuss the bathroom visits. lol

Here’s a picture of the view beside the hospital

Once we got past her grazing we ended up at the Public Library. I haven’t visited this library in years and realized how much I missed it. Wish the library in my town was as beautiful and ‘clean’ as this one is!!

Becky lives 2 streets down from where Stephen King lives, so a quick photo shoot pretending I was a tourist. If you are a Stephen King fan, or have a family member who is a fan and would like one/or both of these photos, leave me a comment and I’ll email an original without my watermark on them for you. [add a frame, and this could be a nice gift idea]. I am also using this first photo as my Project 365 photo for today. Serious, can’t you just picture him sitting in one of these rooms writing!!

Then off to my mom and dads. I ‘had’ a picture to share, but well it was the backside of my momma bending over and well you know what happens when you make a mother angry, so I figured the smartest thing I could do was delete it.

So, in a nutshell, this was my day. Tomorrow I get to take my baby [well, my 18 year old forever baby...shhhh, don't tell him that] to the oral surgeons to have his wisdom teeth out. I’m not looking forward to it and hope that he is not in any pain.

Time is ticking, and I am hoping/praying/wishing that tonight allows me sleep. This insomnia is wiping me out!! So, until tomorrow…Take care friends, and have a beautiful day!!

Signs of FAll…

Everyday Life | Sunday 27 September 2009 10:21 pm

“Even if something is left undone, everyone must take time to sit still and watch the leaves turn.” -   Elizabeth Lawrence

Hello Sunday, and Hello Friends! It’s an overcast, dreary day here in Maine. Was hoping to tackle the front garden to do some flower transplanting and bulb planting today but with the weather not  cooperating this chore will have to take place another day.

The signs of Fall are all around me, including the smell in the air. Yesterday Matthew and I made a trip up into the attic and brang down a few Fall decorations. Looking forward to decorating.

I am ashamed to admit that I am so behind on my email it is close to pathetic! I have started sending out Thank You’s to the many special people who enter into my life via my blog, and answering some personal email that I probably should have gotten to much sooner than now. I think I need a secretary! So, I’m heading back into my inbox for a few more minutes. Until tomorrow, here’s to a beautiful week ahead of us!!

Saturday STuff

Blog Party,Everyday Life,Oliver | Saturday 26 September 2009 5:16 pm

JBP2009

Happy Saturday Friends!! Matthew and I went to a few yardsales this afternoon, and this angel is one of the goodies that I found.

A number of years ago the kids and I worked on a wildflower garden outback as a little ‘remembrance garden’ for those loved one that we have lost. I have to admit that we did not keep up with it as good as we should have and the garden has since filled in with more weeds than wildflowers. When I saw this angel I knew right away that it would make a wonderful addition to that garden.

Ready for some blog parties/meme’s?

For Shadow Shot Sunday at Hey Harriet I was able to capture mine and Oliver’s  shadows. And let me tell you, this was not an easy feat as Oliver was occupied with the smells around him and the kids riding by on their bikes. I am going to use this shadow shot for my Project 365 photo today also.

Here’s a bit of Oliver for Camera Critters

Going to grab my to-do list and see what else I can get accomplished on it. Until tomorrow, I hope your Saturday is a beautiful one…
