Hello to September. September finds me with many thoughts and emotions…I’ll share these thoughts as the time comes…
So…not that I procrastinate or anything like that, but today I sadly decided to break down the back deck. I [procrastinated]…or may have been a bit on the lazy side last season and did not break anything down and I lost a lot of my terra cotta pots-and to make it worse, the ones I lost were all my xxl [expensive] sized ones. Ugh!! So, determined not to allow that to happen again this year, or have anything worse happen [like the glass in my table top shattering] I decided to just do it. Now I’m just sad to see another season come to an end. Here is a before post of my back deck, and here is today’s picture after we stored most of the items down in the cellar and a perfect photo for Wordless Wednesday, because it says it all about the ending of a season and the beginning of a new one…
I left certain things out so they will get a bit of patina from the winter months elements. Now, I am envisioning [and hoping] for a new and bigger porch to be added next season!!
Working on organizing myself [is it just me, or is this never ending?]. Yesterday after scouring a number of stores I finally found a monthly planner that caught my eye. Much more compact, and I can change out the photo as much [or as little] as I want. As you can see, it is much smaller than the one I’ve been carrying around for the past 4 years!!
In case you are interested, it is made by Blue Sky. I found mine at Target. The selection was not very good and the only two color choices were red and brown.
Because I’m too lazy to take another picture I am going to use this as my Project 365 photo for today.
In my post last night I showed this cute little bird cage that I picked up at the antique store for $2.00. I spray painted it this afternoon and love the results. Have I mentioned that I love spray paint?
As usual much to do so I am going to run along. Until tomorrow, Happy September 1st and here’s to a wonderful week ahead of all of us!!

Beautiful photography!!! Your deck cleansing will be well worth the effort, it is supposed to be super cold this winter. I love your new antique birdcage too. What a find!
