If I haven’t mentioned this prior, I have two pregnant girlfriends. Yeah, not just one. Two of them!! Today I picked Lisa up at work and went with her to the baby doctor appointment this morning. Was able to hear ‘Cheyennes’ heartbeart, and the doctor said everything is going perfectly. Lisa is due January 1st.
Girlfriend #2 is Becky, and on Wednesday I’ll be taking her to her baby doctors appointment and for an ultrasound. Becky is due October 31st and is having ‘Christopher’.

On the way back home we stopped at a yardsale where I bought this bird feeder for $1.00. Take that Mr. Squirrel! Let’s see you eat all of the birdseed now, little guy!! I’m using this picture for my Project 365 today also.
We also picked up two matching pack and play portable cribs, both in excellent condition, and both for free!! We tried to give the man money and he would not accept it. I am hoping to find a crib for Becky now and she’ll be all set.
I also picked up this great book and crepe paper [for a project of course]

A sweet little pillow for my bedroom and Bliss in a Box for some wonderful yoga exercises.

Total cost: $3.00. Pretty Sweet!!

My Color Carnival
Great deal on the Pack & Plays! I am debating heading out for a couple stops this morning. Having all 3 kids with me makes me question my decision! LOL!
Great deal on the pack and plays- can’t do better than free!
But I advise getting a new crib. Our church does crib giveaways for the local crisis pregnancy centers (when a woman completes certain criteria set by the centers) they “earn” a free crib. We provide the crib, mattress, bumper pads, blanket, sheets and a toy. We used to get gently used cribs, but what we’ve found with used ones is that even though they may look great, they’re hard to put together, often missing hardware (even though the seller swears it’s all there), and the safety regulations change so frequently that we have no way of knowing whether it measures up to current regulations or even if it has been recalled.
Also, definitely get a mattress new. You don’t know what has been on it or where the mattress has been stored. Plus, particularly if a new baby ends up having allergies, you don’t know what the mattress has been around and you want your baby sleeping in the cleanest possible situation.
We have found deals on cribs and mattresses at Big Lots and KMart, and they seem to be good quality, if that helps. Of course, knowing you, you’ll find one new in the box for $3 at a garage sale! LOL
