MY GOodies..

Blog Party,Everyday Life | Thursday 24 September 2009 6:44 pm

Hey Friends, and Happy Thursday! This mornings lecture was based on Hinduism, and a little into Buddhism. Absolutely fascinating. We were given a question that would be asked by a Zen Master:

What was your face before your parents were born?

Yeah….I’m going to sleep on this question.

Visited my local Goodwill today and found some great treasures for Thrift Store Thursday, Vintage Thingies Thursday, and Thrifty Thursday [I do hope that you will visit these great blogs, and take a few minutes to peek at the other participants blogs...you know, you never know when you may be inspired!!]

In the Christmas section I found this 2002 Hallmark ornament. First Christmas together as husband and wife. Keith and I were married, 02/02/02. cost: 50cents

or something like that! Spent the afternoon with prego girlfriend #2 today and needless to say I didn’t finish my Healing and Spirituality reading for tomorrows lecture…jeesh, will I ever stop procrastinating? Yeah, I doubt that’ll happen anytime soon, since I am beginning to think that procrastination is my middle name. All’s good. Will force me to wake up early and do the remainder of my reading…

My sister stopped in today and surprised me with two beautiful goodies that she found while yardsaling… which I’m using as my Project 365 photo for today also.

June remembered that I collected Precious Moments figurines [at one point in my life] and at 50 cents each she could not pass them up. I of course love them!

Well friends, time is ticking and the night is closing in on me. Until tomorrow…

Here’s my photo for Project 365 today. Gotta love my Guy! But sometimes I wonder if he has thoughts of eating my camera.

Another busy day. I finished a scrapbook/art project and can’t wait to show what I created.

Until tomorrow-

Feathers in the Nest

Everyday Life,Family | Monday 21 September 2009 10:00 pm

Happy Monday friends! Here’s my photo for Project 365 today

JBP2009

Yesterday I read Feathers from My Nest and I have to tell you that I loved it. Each essay is inspiring and heartwarming. Being the mother of one daughter and two sons I consider myself blessed hugely. But I have questioned numerous times how three human beings who came from the same womb can be so different and like night and day…and it was heartwarming to see that another mother had similar thoughts.

As I read I thought about the many feathers in my nest. Some hilarious, some frustrating, some inspiring…but each a treasure. I am truly so blessed.

If you have a chance to read this book I definetly give it a thumbs up for any mother regardless of their childrens ages. You will laugh, you will cry, and many feathers will enter your mind.

I’ve been hanging pretty close to the couch today, and took several naps. Yesterday I spent 6 1/2 hours in the Emergency Room, told the doctor I thought I had pleurisy–[I had it several years ago, and its a pain you don't forget]. Sure enough after cardiac blood work, ecg’s and a chest xray, the doctor confirmed that I did indeed have pleurisy. He gave me a muscle relaxant to help with the horrible spasms and sent me on my way, as all of my symptoms leaned towards it being viral.

Hoping I’ll be feeling even better tomorrow as I am hoping to attend a Fibromyalgia support group tomorrow night.

Until tomorrow, I hope your day has been a beautiful one, and here’s to a wonderful week for all of us!

Blog Party,Everyday Life,Oliver | Saturday 19 September 2009 8:13 pm

Hey friends! I hope your Saturday was a beautiful one. Unfortunately mine was spent inside at a classroom at a local hospital from noon-five attending Child Birth classes with my girlfriend.

Today’s photo for Project 365

My view…because I didn’t call shot-gun ahead of time. That’ll teach me!

Here’s Oliver for todays Camera Critters Meme. He is so dang cute!! He loves poking his head out the window and sniffing the air as we are driving down the road.

I think this is a ‘Good Grief, she has the camera out’ look, lol.

I snapped this photo the other day with Hey Harriets, Shadow Shot Sunday in mind. I love how this photo came out.

And of course, I cannot wait to purchase our pumpkins for the front stairs.

I am so excited about something scrapbooking related, but I cannot reveal it, yet. So…keep an eye on something scrappy/cool related to be announced.

Well friends, it has been one heck of a long day and I am beat, and have a project that I need to work on. So until tomorrow night, I hope your Saturday has been a beautiful one, and I hope you have a beautiful Sunday!!
