TReasure Hunting

Everyday Life | Thursday 15 October 2009 4:43 pm

I took a break from studying today and went treasure hunting at a local Goodwill. I am still standing firm on my opinion that the prices are getting higher and higher. I saw a beautiful dish set that made my heart pitter patter as I just knew that my girlie, Sharon would love it…well the price tag of $74.99 made me walk away empty handed.

Another homemade ceramic piece for my front steps. [I don't want to say this too loud, but I think I am forseeing a 'new' collection growing...shhhh]. $1.99

JBP2009

A sugar cup that matches my dish pattern. $2.99 And I have to tell you what a great idea it was to take pictures of my dishes and carry in my purse!

JBP2009

An old jewelry box and an Avon perfume bottle. 99cents each.

Loved this Christmas frame, and at $1.99 I couldn’t resist!

And for Sharon, a hardcover quilt book [oh, and Sharon, I spied a few designs in this that I would love! hint-hint!], and a brand new vintage twin size sheet. $1.99 each.

So, as you see, I was lucky and was able to pick up some great treasures at some great prices. Well friends, I’ve had a break from studying, and now I’m going to get myself back into it. Until tomorrow-

Jenny!! I LOVE going to Goodwills!! And Yes, I totally agree. The prices do keep getting higher and higher!
You got some awesome finds. I really like the scarecrows and pumpkins! Real cute! And that perfume bottle is great! My Grandpa has some of the old aftershave bottles that are shaped like old cars. My Grandma sold Avon a LONG time ago.
Anyway, Glad you found your treasures! :)

    Hugs,
    Hollie
