It’s Officially, Official!!

Everyday Life, RN Journey | Friday 20 November 2009 9:25 pm

The mailman delivered me a wonderful envelope today…

JBP2009

I started reading Stephanie Meyer’s The Host last night, and I am already enjoying it. Played around organizing my scrapbook and rubberstamp goodies today. Hoping to have my studio pulled together by the end of the weekend.

What an awesome feeling it is to ‘feel human’ again!! No stress, no anxiety, no nausea, no tears, no studying, no fear of failure!! I am just so elated I don’t even have the words to describe this feeling. I am truly blessed…

One Journey ends–another begins…

Everyday Life, RN Journey | Thursday 19 November 2009 4:39 pm

…Breathing in and out’s a blessing can’t you see.

Today’s the first day of the rest of my life.

And I’m alive and well. I’m alive and well…

Everyday Life, RN Journey | Wednesday 18 November 2009 8:02 pm

Hey Friends!

It’s been crazy here. I’ve been studying for the NCLEX-RN, and this morning was the day. 2 hours and 45 minutes into the exam my computer shut down on me after question 125.

Should know if I passed before or by the end of the weekend. Much I need and want to do, so let the fun begin!! And fingers crossed..

Until later.

  • My scrapbook/rubberstamp studio is still in disarray, as is the diningroom. I’m looking at things in a different light as of lately and trying to figure out how to ‘downsize’, and having a hard time pulling it all ‘together’ the way I want it.
  • It’s getting colder, and I am wishing I could teach Oliver to pee on the count of three, and poop on the count of three. Yeah, I know, extreme wishful thinking, but man, it’s cold out there!
  • I am sitting for the NCLEX-RN next week, and the anxiety is building up. I just want to pass so I can begin my journey as a RN!!
  • Thinking about Thanksgiving, but so sad that my daughter, Toni won’t be at the table with us….waaah. [ummm, Toni, I think you need to update your blog].
  • Need to start making a list of everything I need to pack for our upcoming vacation.
  • I’ve signed up for some great charm swaps for the New Year and hoping to begin them when we come back from vacation so I will have them completed.
  • Wasn’t happy waking up to frost this morning.
  • Seriously think I need to create the perfect flea killing medicine, cause this frontline isn’t cutting it, and I’m beginning to get a tad bit pissy about this situation.
  • I cannot wait to see New Moon at the theater!!
  • After 6 1/2 months of trying to grow my hair out and dealing with the awkwardness of it, in less than 45 minutes this morning I had it all cut off. Now, I’m wondering why I just didn’t do it 5 months ago?!
  • Wondering how long Reggie is going to keep that frozen mouse in the freezer? [and for the record it was a frozen feeder mouse from the pet store, for his snake-and is not contaminating the food...honest!]
  • Is thankful for the close friends that I have in my life.
  • Thinks a majority of the politicians who create laws for us are on effing crack!!
  • Believes that Billy Currington is on to something when he sings: God is Great, Beer is Good, and People are Crazy!!
  • I am dreaming about the Gypsy…and loving some of the new Cricut carts.
  • I have to tell you…with the boys driving and sure that I am going to die every time I am in the truck with them, I almost wet my pants reading The Creative Junkie’s: How to teach your teenager to drive blog post. And seriously, I am soooo happy that I am not alone!! My boys have informed me that I overreact, that I am mellow dramatic, that I swear too much while they are driving, and the best, “Keith thinks I drive good, and he doesn’t scream and swear like you do.” If I live through them it is going to be short of a miracle.

Well folks, there’s just a few things on my mind as of lately. I have more, but it is way past my bedtime, and Oliver is waiting for his momma to snuggle with him. Until next time, I hope each of you and your families are well…

A true HERO: Charla Nash

Everyday Life | Wednesday 11 November 2009 6:06 pm

JBP2009

Here in Maine we are celebrating Veteran’s Day. Thank you to all of the men and woman-past, present, and future who serve our country and protect the Constitution of the USA. Those who have sacrificied to protect the freedoms that we all share. Thank you.

Today’s Oprah show was an interview with Charla Nash [explicit photos, please use discretion when you open this link]. Charla’s strength and grace is so amazing! My heart goes out to Charla, her daughter, and her family. Charla is truly a hero. My thoughts and prayers are with her…

I came across Friends of Charla Nash a blog with updates, and info to send Charla personal notes/emails, etc.
