I am happy to say ‘farewell’ to 2009 and ‘welcome’ to 2010.
I made no resolutions for the New Year. The habit of making plans, of criticizing, sanctioning and molding my life, is too much of a daily event for me. -Anaïs Nin
New Year’s Resolution: To tolerate fools more gladly, provided this does not encourage them to take up more of my time. -James Agate
I’ve been thinking about my word for 2010, and have chosen today as my word. I have no control over yesterday, or tomorrow, but I am able to live for today, and make my today my focus and the best possible. Being more present today and not hurrying for tomorrow or next week to arrive. Being the best momma, wife and friend today, and each today greeting the day as the blessing that it is.
Thank you to Ali Edwards for sharing the process of greeting a new year with open arms and one little word.
Resolutions. Every year I think of 101 resolutions. The thought of a clean slate, a new beginning, with 101 things that I want to do differently/ better. The New Year is just a few minutes old and I have already covered the slate and extended myself with too many unrealistic expectations.
This New Year I’ve chosen to be realistic…
For 2010 I have chosen three resolutions.
-
-Embrace my family and friends with more love, more patience, and more time together.
-
-Live my life greener, healthier, simpler, happier, fuller.
-
-Enjoy each moment and blessing of today.
Tomorrow the Unscripted Sketches Design Team is hosting a Blog Hop!
I hope that 2010 brings each of us Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Everything Good!
