Everyday Life,RN Journey | Thursday 29 April 2010 6:34 pm

and hello Thursday!! The day is flying by. Work tonight and Friday night, and I have the weekend off, and I am looking forward to a long, peaceful, warm, enjoyable weekend!

Here’s my nightly stomping spot and typical view… this view is looking down House 7-8, to the left is House 6, round to the right is House 5.

THis’n That:

  • I ordered the Pioneer Woman Cooks and cannot wait to find the time to test some of these recipes on my family! Beautifully designed cookbook!
  • With all of the magazines we buy/subcribe to, and the gorgeous photography in each of them, this is a great idea: recycled magazine envelopes, nothing new, but definetly easy and a pleasant surprise to a friend receiving your special note.
  • One word: YUMMY!!
  • I just love this cheeky woman: Margie and hoping her new journey is a beautiful one for her.
  • Love the Magnolia girls!! So need to begin ordering these.

Well, I need to find myself showered and dressed to head out to work. Take care friends, and I’ll catch you all later…

Bret Michaels, and THe Little Things…

Everyday Life | Friday 23 April 2010 8:45 pm

Hello friends, and Hello FRiday! Hope each of you have had a beautiful day.

My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to Bret Michaels as he struggles in critical condition due to a brain hemorrhage. Absolutely scary, and just horrible.

Saw this yesterday and knew I had to have it…

these words are so true!!

Here’s to a beautiful weekend for all of us!

THursday stuff…

Everyday Life,Simple Living | Thursday 22 April 2010 1:41 pm

Hello Friends!! Amazing what a good nights sleep can do for a persons body, and disposition! I’ve been a bit of a ‘cranky pants’ and lacking in the area of patience.

I finished up another round of a 6-night stretch at work. Didn’t think I was going to make it for a few minutes there. Here’s a peek at my life in April as seen thru my lifeline, aka: my calendar. The pink represents work.

His and Hers: Mine is on the left, his is on the right. Oh, and funny thing, our daughter, Toni, has a black Hyundai Elantra also. I won’t point out that mine is brand new or anything tho ;)

Lookie!! My first tulip of the season.

This photo was taken this morning

and a little bit later she opened up…

Sharon sent me a box filled with some amazing goodies the other day, and I am so looking forward to ‘playing’, I mean creating!

Working on pulling this house together, clipping coupons, sorting, and organizing. Keith is pulling up the flooring in the kitchen so we can put down a new floor. I was thinking black and white, now I’m doubting myself. Going to think it thru a little more…

Well friends, much to do and the clock is ticking by…until tomorrow…

THursday Ramblings…

Hey friends! I’m still here, and missing the activity on my blog. I want to say I’ll get back to my daily, [or almost daily] posts, but right now I am not sure I can say it, let alone think it. I’m about to begin another 6 night stretch tonight, and I know that sleep will over take my life and plans.

So, here’s to some Thursday afternoon ramblings, ya’ll ready?

  • The countdown is on for Ali’s A Week In Your Life, begins April 19th.
  • Counting down until my Scrapbox is delivered. Wonder how I can pick up some more hours at work to speed this process up?
  • Keith has been building me a tall cupboard for the kitchen and is almost finished, I’ll share pictures shortly.
  • 2nd garbage patch seen in the Atlantic Ocean this is just disheartening, and scary.
  • I have forgotten how much I adore Kolette Hall and need to make/find the time to visit her blog everyday.

New and Vintage Goodies

I’m in love with my Gypsy!

Interested in a Cartidge swap? My cartridges have all been linked to my Gypsy. I do not care if your cartidges have been linked to your Gypsy. Cartridges that I have: Stamped, Opposites Attract, Mini Monograms, Going Places, Printing Press, 50 States, Sweethearts, George and Basic Shapes.

I love vintage photos, and I love finding images of two boys and a girl [which are not common finds].

I thought this little girl was so darling I had to give her a home.

Well friends, I’m feeling the need for a nap coming on, so until next time, I hope each of you are well, and here’s to a beautiful weekend ahead of us!

South Boston, aka Southie

Everyday Life,RN Journey | Wednesday 7 April 2010 6:34 pm

Can’t wait to spend some time back ‘home’.

and we’ll definetly be visiting Sullivans and take a walk around Castle Island [you can read more info about Castle Island here], many hours of my childhood were spent on that John McCorkle fishing pier, searching for jelly fish on the beach, and late hot summer nights at the Robert Greene playground…and you know I’ll be having a small twist in a cone with ‘chocolate covered ants’.

…can’t wait!!

I’m relaxing and taking it easy tonight as tomorrow night I head back to work and a 6 night stretch. I have a feeling I may be a ‘tad’ bit grumpy come Tuesday.

Take care friends, and talk soon!!

…Eternity…

RN Journey | Tuesday 6 April 2010 6:48 pm

For death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity. -William Penn 0717

  • You taught me not to be too close to a persons face in case said person should suddenly scream without warning.
  • You taught me to remember that pain is an individual experience.
  • You reminded me to pray.

I won’t soon forget you or the sound of your voice asking me if I enjoy waking you up so damn early in the morning, and I’ll miss waking you up tomorrow morning….In Peace…
