Not too sure what happened, but this year I didn’t have a chance to cut any of the lilacs to bring into the house. One day they were beautiful, the next day, it seems, they passed by. Maybe it didn’t happen exactly like that, but that’s what it seems.
Today is my second day off in a row. [insert sounds of angels singing here] Unfortunately yesterday I was only awake for about 4 hours, but I was able to get a few ‘busy’ things taken care of. I was in bed around 8p last night, and wide awake at 5:30a this morning. I’ve been puttering around the house, and have accomplished quite abit.
Working on the house going’s on:
-
The upstairs hallway, and downstairs hallway walls are primed, ceilings painted, and now begins the coat of paint on the walls. They were the last walls in the house that needed the wallpaper to be removed, and I will be a happy girl if I never see wallpaper again!!
-
Kitchen walls and ceiling needs to be primed and painted. Kitchen cupboards will be coming down, and shelves will be added. Still need to decide on the kitchen ‘floor’ and that room will be complete.
-
For the inside of the house the only remaining project is the hallway stairs, upstairs hallway, and master bedroom floors will need to be sanded and redone, then we’ll be starting a few projects on the outside and the house will be ready to be put up for sale.
Sending out hugs to my one and only, most favorite, sister in law, Rhonda. Watching my niece, Sam, grow into a beautiful young woman has been wonderful. The years go by so quickly…
Watched The Messenger today, powerful stuff, just absolutely powerful stuff. And yes, I cried, frequently!
Well friends, I need to take advantage of the remainder of this day, so for here, I’m going to close out with well wishes and a beautiful weekend ahead for each of us. Until next time…

House projects never end! We bought our first house last July and still need to finish painting the dining room and then prime/paint our kitchen. It was fun for the first few rooms and now it just seems to take forever!
Beautiful lilac pic!
Hey Jenny! Best of luck with all the renovation projects! I can feel your painting pain, but it’s totally worth it when it’s done. Major value adding
