It’s been one of those busy/relaxing kind of days. My statistics class took up a lot of my time today finishing my homework responsibilities to conclude the week, only to turn around tomorrow and begin another week. Ugh.

Yesterday I talked a little about wanting/needing to get our financial situation under control. Dave Ramseys first step is to create an emergency fund of $1,000 in 3 months [of course you can spread this out longer if necessary]. This may not be the most practical time to begin due to the holidays right around the corner, but we are getting ourselves situated to begin on November 1st.  We discussed how to make some changes related to dish, land phone, cell phones, looking into other automobile insurance options, etc.

Where we stand right now working towards building our Emergency Fund:

• 10/10/10 Cancelled Sirius radio for our vehicles = $30.00/month saving = $360.00/year savings.

I am always looking for ways to simplify/organize my life, and I have to tell you that I have to get out more often!! I am loving Google Reader. All my favorite blogs in one convenient spot, the ability to create folders. Yeah, it’s the little things that  make a girl happy.
