• Finished reading The Murderer Next Door, Why the Mind is Designed to Kill. I found the book fascinating and it has given me additional insight into not just those who murder, but also the result of murder on the victim, and his heirs.
• I am working on a few things: simplifying, slowing down, being mindful and present.
• Honesty. A pretty big meaning fits inside that little word. And it is time for me to be honest and close a chapter in my life. I am not a scrapbooker. There I said it. I am a collector of everything scrapbooking related, and it just does not even appeal to me to continue to spend my hard earned money on ‘stuff’ that just sits there. So for the moment I’ll make an occasional card until a bit of mojo visits me again. someday.
• So..in the meantime I am going to take a sewing class. I have a few projects in mind and anxious to begin them. If you are a sewer and have a favorite sewing blog or two I would love it you shared.

In Process– lowering our monthly bills.

• 10/10/10 Cancelled Sirius radio for our vehicles = $30.00/month saving = $360.00/year savings.
• 10/13/10 Cancelled Dish and on 10/15/10 had Direct TV  installed = $25.00/month savings, [plus now we have Liftetime Movie Channel] = $300.00/year savings.
• 10/17/10 Cancelled our auto insurance and switched to State Farm = $12.00/month savings, [exact same coverage accept we now have a lower deductible!] = $144.00/year savings.
• 10/20/10 Home phone disconnected. = $30.00/month savings = $360.00/year savings.
• Total monthly savings = $97.00
• Total yearly savings = $1164.00
