I am…

Hello Friends, and Happy Sunday!!

Brene Brown…is totally inspiring me to practice courage, be creative, and dream big! I want to share a quote she shares on her blog: “Perfectionism is a twenty-ton shield that we lug around thinking it will protect us when, in fact, it’s the thing that’s really preventing us from taking flight.” I personally am exhausted from carrying this shield around, and here are my thoughts on the Perfect Protest…I am Perfectly, Imperfect…and Happy!

My youngest, Matthew did an impromtu photo shoot of me holding my sign this morning…

I am Perfectly, Imperfect. But I am the best wife, mother, friend, and Nurse that I can be…and those are the four things that are the most important parts of my life.

[and damn, looking at my pictures, I am thinking I really should have taken the time to put my concealer and makeup on...but this is me, an exhausted night shift Nurse, who doubts she will ever be rid of these bags under my eyes, caused by being awake while the rest of the world is sleeping, a touch of fibromyalgia flares here and there, saying okay when I probably should have said no, and plain and simple exhaustion...and it's okay, cause I am Perfectly, Imperfect with or without my concealer on.]

Brene’s book is available for Kindle download also.

Jennay!! I was just thinking about how wonderful you look, and then I read the comment about no makeup! You’re too funny girl, and it’s just another testament to what we girls put ourselves through. This is an issue that I’m struggling with severely right now, thanks for touching on it!

    Mucho love-o,
