Hello, Goodbye to another Weekend

Everyday Life,Master of Science in Nursing Journey | Sunday 7 November 2010 11:55 pm

This past week has been a crazy, busy one here. 7a-7p at work. Boatloads of reading, and schoolwork assignments, and just plain exhaustion! Doubtful that this exhaustion will ever leave me, so I have decided instead of continuing to complain, I am going to embrace it. I’ll let you know how that goes.

  • Grades were posted today and I completed my Nursing Statistics class with a final grade of 94. I was a little disappointed in my final grade. Lesson learned to not take a quiz after you’ve arrived home from working the night shift. The sad part is it happened twice. Yeah, I am a slow learner!

This weekend was pretty low key as I had until tonight to complete requirements for this past week, one being a Program of Study and the Professional Development Plan. A 10 page paper specifically to add to my portfolio. It was pretty rough, but I completed it and now must hold my breath as it is worth 12 points/10% of my grade.

Today was spent mostly reading to prepare myself for the week ahead for this round of classes: Professional Issues in Nursing and Strategies in the Master of Science Program in Nursing. I am loving these two classes!

Keith and I did run to the store this morning so I could purchase some fabric fat quarters for a swap that I was accepted into. Hoping to have the project completed tomorrow afternoon, and will share a picture.

I’ve been craving caramel apples for weeks now and this afternoon I made some. I got a little frustrated and decided to cut up an apple and used the caramel as a dipping sauce. Not sure which hurt worse; my tummy, or my teeth! And finally a little while later when I peeked into the fridge, we have yet another example of why I need to stay out of the kitchen…

A few other random things from the weekend:

  • I erased 1135 photos off my cameras memory card [my photo program was not appreciative of my uploading this number of photos!!] and deleted over 975 emails out of my inbox.
  • Ordered another Dave Ramsey book from Amazon, I was going to purchase the kindle edition, but decided to order the actual book so I can send it to my daughter when I am finished with it. The Total Money Makeover: A Proven Plan for Financial Fitness

Well friends, time is ticking and I must find myself sleeping. I hope your weekend has been a beautiful one. Until later…

-Jenny
