I’ve been running from religion for a number of years. Fighting it. Questioning it. Doubting it.
This weekend while at the musuems I felt a renewed sense of how important the church used to be for me, and I felt a moment of regret…I am Catholic, and I need to stop running and I need to embrace my beliefs.
“I think that somehow, we learn who we really are and then live with that decision”.

This sculpture is called The Entombment, Italy (Faenza) about 1500. Christ being laid to rest by Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea, while the Virgin Mary, Mary Magdalen, Saint John, and two other women look on in grief.
