Preparing for Twenty-Eleven

Everyday Life,Simple Living | Monday 27 December 2010 7:02 am

Part I [preparing for January 1st]

  • The Calendar/Planner: Bet you didn’t know I have an addiction to planners. Specifically to Franklin Covey. I have been known to spend hours searching for the perfect planner to get me thru the year, only to decide it is not working, and start the search over again. This year I have decided to give up my oversized planner book, and have downsized to a smaller monthly planner made by Blue Sky. Sorry Franklin, but I really liked the idea of being able to put a photo in the cover. Today I hope to get my personal planner situated and our family calendar on the fridge ready.

  • Create my Goals for 2011: I have a million of them, but well, realistically I may only accomplish one or two things, if I am lucky. How to Keep a Resolution. One goal at the top of my list: FINISH IT!  Oh, if only my diagnosis was ADHD instead of this dang ADD! I must delegate, prioritize and focus better in 2011.
  • Health[ier] Living: I have requested a Bowflex TreadClimber, and want Keith and I to begin working out together on a daily basis. I would like to firm up and loose these last stinking pounds to make it to my personal goal. Need to pull out the scale and weigh each other in.
  • Balance: I need to figure out how to live a more balanced life of living, not just working, and sleeping.

These are a few things that I am going to work on today. Until tomorrow, I hope your day is a blessed, and beautiful one!

-Jenny

Daily Gratitudes: my warm home, another night home with my husband, fresh fallen snow, homemade cinnamon rolls, silver glitter

    Good Morning, Jenny,
I, too, had such an organized family planner on our kitchen counter. I kept the everyone’s activities on the schedule…even color coded with a different highlighter for each person. Then the girls went to college and the calendar sat empty. So…I guess, my purse calendar is all I need now!

Good luck with preparing your new planner for the new year. May it be filled with fun-filled, family centered events…and plenty of time just for you. Take care ~Natalie

What a great planner. I have not found one yet but this year I need a really special one. I always look while I am Christmas shopping!

Good Luck! I need to make some resolutions, too, but I keep getting distracted.
