Thursday Ramblings…

Everyday Life | Thursday 6 January 2011 9:09 am
If your everyday life seems poor, don’t blame it; blame yourself; admit to yourself that you are not enough of a poet to call forth its riches; because for the creator there is no poverty and no poor indifferent place. -Rainer Marie Rilke

The other afternoon Matthew and I visited a local antique store that I typically enjoy perusing. Maybe it is because I am looking for certain items that are causing me to be unimpressed by the indoor yard-sale feel. Or maybe it is because I am being more conscious on what I am spending my money on. [must not bring any junk/clutter into the house]. Oh, and what am I looking for you wonder? Right now I am specifically searching for Johnson Brothers Wild Turkey Windsor Ware.

In other news:

School: This morning I finished my responsibilities for the week in my Advancing Nursing Through Inquiry and Research class. 7 more weeks. 7 more weeks.

Work: I’ve had a few nights off. Back to work tonight. Ready, or not.

Family/Life/Home: Yesterday Keith and I finally decided on the new flooring for the kitchen. Long story short, I chose a flooring sometime ago. Last weekend Keith went to place the order and while he was gone I began to have reservations about the choice [was going to do a checkerboard black/white design]. Thankfully the building supply store was closed so he was unable to place the order. [phew..another close call].

Etc: Trying to lighten the Load: I’ve been deleting yet more blogs that I subscribe to in google reader. As well as a number of subscription emails. You wouldn’t think it would be so difficult to unsubscribe from some email newsletters, etc, but a few chosen have proven to try my patience.

Much to do. Not so sure I’ll get much accomplished, but I need to atleast attempt to give it a shot. Until next time. Happy Thursday friends. Here’s to a beautiful day…
