After my tanning appointment this morning I decided to swing by the local antique store since it had been some time since my last visit. Funny story to share. There was cars outside and I walked in to find a lot of rearranging happening. The owner said hi, and apologized for the messes and asked me if I had found a few of the items that her and I have talked about in the past…we were talking while she was totalling me up and, come to find out, the store was CLOSED! I had no idea they close down for the month of February! hahaha
I spied a beautiful antique china cabinet and plan on racing in March 1st and look into bringing her home. I believe it is the same color as our diningroom table and chairs.
Here’s a picture of a few goodies that I found: spice tins, an antique plate holder [I almost cried out in excitement when I saw this, because I have been looking for one!!], an old ice cream container, and two sweet roosters that I am going to spray paint white and rough up to bring a little bit of the black out.
Keith made a loaf of homemade banana bread earlier [the house still smells delicious], I’ll share picture and recipe tomorrow. And finally, we’re in the midst of another snow storm. Here’s a picture from my front steps just a few minutes ago…
…so ready for SPRING!
Until next time. Stay warm, and safe friends.

I think we are all ready for spring…….nice finds….is this the store in Brewer? I haven’t been into one in a long time and do like to do that……I just finished some banana bread that I got at the club chinese auction and food sale last Sunday…it was good…..but probably not as good as Keith’s
@Fran, due to the amount of snow, I decided to stay close to home, it was Old Things in Orland: which appears to be getting back to antiques. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Schoolhouse Antique in Orrington…must pay them a visit, soon!
