Too Little Time, TOo much Rain…

Time is like the wind, it lifts the light and leaves the heavy.  -Doménico Cieri Estrada

Another week of too little time, and too much rain. [sigh]

Thursday Ramblings…

  • I finished the book My Lobotomy. The story itself is heart wrenching and shameful that Walter Freeman was allowed to ruin so many innocent lives. The book itself was a slow read and unfortunately was heavy on Mr. Duffys sexual promiscuity, but following his journey and his discoveries will push you along to continue reading.
  • Ten Days in a Mad House Nellie Bly a journalist, takes an assisgnment from the New York World newspaper to go undercover into the notorious Blackwell’s Island Insane Asylum in 1877. It was a short read and a fascinating look back in time.
  • Next up: Lost in the Mirror, An Inside Look at Borderline Personality Disorder.
  • The big news this week has been the killing of Bin Laden by the U.S. I was appalled to read the excitement of people and numerous facebook updates of excitement, and amens. I did not and do not share in the excitement of the killing of this man. A lot of innocent men and women lost their lives on 9/11 due to him and his followers. A lot of innocent men and women have lost their lives since the war began. And sadly, a lot more innocent men and women will loose their lives due to retaliation of Bin Laden’s death…”I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that” — Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • I have been doing some daydreaming today: Paris Love I would so love to be able to visit Paris 2/12 as that will be mine and Keith’s 10th wedding anniversary [02/02/02]…
  • And this I know is True: Success looks easy, but it takes a lot of work, sweat, tears, late nights and early mornings. And the road is sometimes paved with nails.
  • I’m in LOVE. Home Sweet Home. Oh if only I had time to play…I mean, be creative!
  • And before I hit the road one last thought: If I really was a bitch, I’d make your life a living hell, but instead, I’ll just sit back and watch you do it yourself. Seriously, I am all about karma, and my using the least amount of energy these days.

On that note, so I can enjoy a few moments with my husband tomorrow and have a few brain cells alive I am going to find myself to bed. Here’s to a beautiful tomorrow.

-Jenny
