Tuesday Ramblings…

DIY,Everyday Life,Simple Living | Tuesday 14 June 2011 4:48 pm

I’ve been working on choosing photos to hang and this morning Keith and I made a trip to town for more photo frames. We even found one especially for Oliver. I think there will be another round of frame purchasing, but for now we’re off to a very good start. This project has totally inspired me, and don’t tell my husband, but I think I need another set of photo ledges, this time for the livingroom.

Putting these important photos out so I can look at them everyday has also inspired me to begin looking into purchasing nice photo albums to get my families photos out of the photo boxes and out in the open.

So many more DIY projects on my to-do list. Hopeful to share a few more completed projects in the next few weeks.

Ramblings, etc:

  • Iced Coffee. Must try this recipe, soon.
  • Dear Keith. If you are reading this, I would be a very, very happy woman and would quickly learn how to navigate the kitchen, and cook better if you bought me this little girl, and don’t worry about the total cost, I am sure my cooking will make up for it. [sigh] Oh, and I will work lots of overtime, if necessary.
  • LOVE these words: Find the Time. The time to read, to smell the flowers, to paint your dreams, to have coffee with a friend, to learn a new craft, to write a letter, to bake a surprise cake, to go somewhere special, to really be with the person you love, or even to do nothing for awhile. Each year many people, myself included, choose a word as their mantra…I think I need to stop choosing one single word, [though I chose two for 2011] and instead use many words to keep me focused, and reminded to take the time to breathe.
  • Week 7 of class began yesterday. This weeks theme is Palliative Care and the End of Life. A very difficult subject for me. One more week to go and another class under my belt.
  • I would love to do some canning this summer.
  • 101 Simple Summer Meals in 10 minutes or less. We would substitute the meat for more fruits and vegetables.
  • I have secretly had a girl-crush on Christy Tomlinson for some time now. I am planning on joining her She Art Workshop. I was saddened to read that she is battling her own personal war against fibromyalgia as well.

Well friends, I could just go on, and on, and on, but I think it is about time that I get a move on. Until tomorrow…
