Not only did I receive my first letter from Reggie today, but his father was able to find the platoon that he is in, and found a photo posted of him. He sounded really good in his letter, and is doing well. His only complaint was concerning their only having 5-7 minutes to eat. He recently completed his CLS exam, and is a Certified Combat Lifesaver, and he received his rifle the other day, which he is pretty excited about. I am so proud of him, and I am so anxious to hear more about this incredible journey that he is taking.

His company: Charlie Co 3rd BN 34th Infantry Regiment and his platoon is the PITBULLS.
Work was pretty stressful, and full of emotions this week as we began transferring/discharging patients to close down our unit, and at approx 3:05 pm this afternoon our last two patients were escorted off The Baxter Unit. Tomorrow I begin working on a new unit. New coworkers. New patients. New rules/routines…and I am filled with anxiety.
Well friends, this night has flown by much too quickly. Not only am I starting on a new unit tomorrow, but it is also day 6 of 8, so for here, I am going to close so I can find myself in bed. Here’s to a beautiful weekend ahead of us. Until next time…
