Day 9…live hand grenades?!

 Day 9, someone likes candy!

We received two letters from Reggie today. We are so proud of him!! They finished up their second mandatory foot  march which was 8 miles! They did a campout after their march and did training on how to react to direct enemy fire, and how to react to indirect enemy fire, how to cross a linear danger area, and how to search an EPW. He is loving his rifle, and this week: “we go out to throw live hand grenades, fingers crossed that I don’t blow myself up.” [momma did not laugh at that comment!] He has been fitted for his dress uniform, and has received his black beret for graduation. Have I mentioned how proud I am of this young man?! 8 days until he arrives home for holiday leave, and I cannot wait.

This has been a long week at work, and I am so happy to have the weekend off,…and it is going to be a wonderful weekend!

Until tomorrow, here’s to a wonderful weekend ahead of us.
