Advent Calendar for the Adults

DIY,Everyday Life | Monday 26 November 2012 6:15 pm

A number of weeks ago I purchased the Pottery Barn Cubby Organizer to create an Advent Calendar for my  husband and I to countdown to Christmas. Because this will be our first Christmas without children at home, I wanted to begin a few new traditions for him and I.

Each box has a small card inside with a prompt for us to do that day. To share a few of my ideas;

- go to a local restaurant for dessert after supper

- write a note to put in each others stocking

- popcorn, and a Christmas movie

I hope I have inspired you. Until next time…

    Hey Jenny, I also write for a blog called GeekMom at Wired magazine. Inspired by you I’m going to run an advent piece this week on things to do with your spouse during Advent to take a break from the kids – do you mind if I use your picture? You will get full credit and be linked to. So glad to find another blogger in Maine, I love your style!
