Hello Friends! I hope however you chose to celebrate Christmas was lovely. My husband and I celebrated together on Christmas Eve due to Christmas falling on my scheduled work day.
At work we had planned our day the week prior, and decided to wear Ugly Christmas Sweaters to celebrate our day with our patients.
I ended up working 16 hours on Christmas day, and as I cannot speak freely about those hours, I can sum them up by saying that those sixteen hours were sadly far from lovely, and I do not forsee ever putting myself in that position again.

Deployment Day 28: The unthankful heart… discovers no mercies; but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and, as the magnet finds the iron, so it will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings! -Henry Ward Beecher
Deployment Day 27: The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. -St. Augustine
Deployment Day 26: What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace. -Agnes M. Pahro
The forecasted snow storm has brought us about six inches thus far. According to the forecast, we have hit a lull, and the onslaught of additional heavy snow will be arriving over night. Today was a lovely, hot cocoa, television, and a long [much needed] nap, kind of day. I wouldn’t be sad if tomorrow was a repeat.
