It is not how much you do, but how much love you put in the doing. -Mother Theresa

About a week ago I applied for a Supervisory position and the other morning I found out that I received the position. I am excited, and nervous at the same time, as well as grateful to be given this opportunity.

I woke up this morning at 7am completely confused…I came downstairs and remarked to Keith that I didn’t even remember going to bed last night. Keith says, “that’s because you didn’t go to bed last night…” huh? Well, I went up to bed a bit before noon yesterday and never woke up until 7am this morning!! NOT good!! Not only did a loose another entire day of my life, but I woke up feeling just as exhausted as I always do. Of course, I got a little cranky about this and a bit angry at Keith for not waking me up. I can’t be allowed to sleep that long…not good! Ugh.

Etc.

  • Working on ideas for a themed night of scrapbooking here in my home with my closest girls. Anyone have any theme ideas?
  • Need to rent a storage unit so I can begin packing up the house and place in storage. So anxious to make this move. Hoping the house won’t be on the market long.
  • Must make sure we have dollar bills with us the next time we visit the mall for the photo booth.
  • Oliver needs another grooming. Need to call and schedule an appointment this week.
  • Need to find a bit of mojo for some layouts that I have to create if I want to be published, again.
  • I noticed this afternoon when I ran out for a quick errand that the front garden is already becoming overgrown with weeds. Ugh…need to spend some time prettying the garden up.

Oh…much more I could write, but I must find myself in the shower and getting ready to hit the interstate for another night at work. Until next time…I hope your day has been a great one!!

and hello Thursday!! The day is flying by. Work tonight and Friday night, and I have the weekend off, and I am looking forward to a long, peaceful, warm, enjoyable weekend!

Here’s my nightly stomping spot and typical view… this view is looking down House 7-8, to the left is House 6, round to the right is House 5.

THis’n That:

  • I ordered the Pioneer Woman Cooks and cannot wait to find the time to test some of these recipes on my family! Beautifully designed cookbook!
  • With all of the magazines we buy/subcribe to, and the gorgeous photography in each of them, this is a great idea: recycled magazine envelopes, nothing new, but definetly easy and a pleasant surprise to a friend receiving your special note.
  • One word: YUMMY!!
  • I just love this cheeky woman: Margie and hoping her new journey is a beautiful one for her.
  • Love the Magnolia girls!! So need to begin ordering these.

Well, I need to find myself showered and dressed to head out to work. Take care friends, and I’ll catch you all later…

Can’t wait to spend some time back ‘home’.

and we’ll definetly be visiting Sullivans and take a walk around Castle Island [you can read more info about Castle Island here], many hours of my childhood were spent on that John McCorkle fishing pier, searching for jelly fish on the beach, and late hot summer nights at the Robert Greene playground…and you know I’ll be having a small twist in a cone with ‘chocolate covered ants’.

…can’t wait!!

I’m relaxing and taking it easy tonight as tomorrow night I head back to work and a 6 night stretch. I have a feeling I may be a ‘tad’ bit grumpy come Tuesday.

Take care friends, and talk soon!!

…Eternity…

For death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity. -William Penn 0717

  • You taught me not to be too close to a persons face in case said person should suddenly scream without warning.
  • You taught me to remember that pain is an individual experience.
  • You reminded me to pray.

I won’t soon forget you or the sound of your voice asking me if I enjoy waking you up so damn early in the morning, and I’ll miss waking you up tomorrow morning….In Peace…

THis’n THat!

Everyday Life,Family,RN Journey | Monday 22 February 2010 6:50 pm

Hello Friends! Happy Monday. Here’s to a beautiful week ahead of us.

Work is going awesome! The one hour and twenty minute, one way, drive totally sucks, but cruise control and sirius are my new best friends…but, the alarm needs to learn that 4am is much too early to wake me up.

23 years ago today, February 22nd, was the due date of my first child. Shortly after midnight on February 23rd, a beautiful and healthy little girl was placed on my chest, and 23 years later she continues to take my breathe away. Can’t imagine my life without her, and so very thankful to be her momma! I love you Toni.

Time to cuddle with my electric blankie. Until next time.

About Time…

Everyday Life,RN Journey | Thursday 21 January 2010 11:49 pm

Hello and Happy Thursday friends!!

This afternoon I was offered a 11p-7a position as the RN supervisor, on the Long Term Care unit at a Continuing Care Center and I am excited, nervous, and frightened at the same time. I will begin orientation the second week of February.

And then…I see my daughters post on Facebook, that she is excited that I have found a RN position, but she wishes it was in North Carolina. Of course I cried. I miss her so much.

It has been a wonderful today, and I am looking forward to this journey. Catch you tomorrow with a new layout share.
