Unscripted!!

Hello and Happy Saturday!

Here’s my card for todays Unscripted Sketches

This day has been flying by much too quickly, and I only have a couple more hours to work on a few things on that to-do list before I need to find myself in bed to take a nap before I head out to work the overnight shift tonight.

Gave Oliver a bath this morning. What a task that is. He was not very happy with me and kept snorting at me. That’s not counting the brushing him out part. PHew, I am exhausted!! And I think Oliver is grateful that his bath is completed for another week. Speaking of Oliver, here he is celebrating his 1st Birthday! [and yes, my guy needs an appointment with the groomer badly!]

Need to find myself taking a nap so I will be able to stay awake at work. Until tomorrow-

Whataya Want From Me?

Everyday Life, Log Your Memory, Scrapbooking & Rubberstamping | Tuesday 9 February 2010 12:51 pm

Oh, you know me. Just when I think I discovered ‘my favorite song in the entire world’, a new one comes along. I have to tell you that this song speaks to me. Seriously, how many times have you just wanted to say to someone “What do you want from me?” Well, Adam Lambert says it perfectly in Whataya Want From Me. I’m thinking this needs to be my ring tone on my cellphone.

I came across Love and Logic Rock’s version, and I love it!!

Todays to-do list is a mile long. Ugh. I joined one too many swaps and am now feeling a bit over whelmed, with no time to waste. Here’s a few pics of my Twilight themed ATC’s in the making. Charm bracelets are in the making, but are not coming together as smoothly as the directions outlined. [insert huge sigh here]

Working on a layout for my Design Team responsibilities at Log Your Memories. I think I am ‘thinking’ about it too much, and just need to relax so it will all flow together.

Tomorrow and Thursday I will be attending an IV Certification course for RN’s. Fluid and Electrolyte balance…Isotonic, Hypotonic, Hypertonic, Osmosis…ugh. Just the thought is awakening my anxiety.

Well friends, that’s it for this beautiful sunshiney Tuesday.

Hello February

Everyday Life, Log Your Memory, Scrapbooking & Rubberstamping | Monday 1 February 2010 11:11 pm

Not sure how February got here so quickly, but hello, and fingers crossed that Mr. Groundhog doesn’t see his shadow tomorrow–or I am going to go search for him and offer up a nice pot of groundhog stew.

I’ve been busy, organizing, and creating a sweet little mini album…oh and watching one movie after another on netflix. Here’s a quick peek at the mini album…

  • -Log Your Memory is hosting a Sweet Talk Journaling Challenge for the month of February. I know what you’re thinking…I do not have the time to think let alone scrapbook. Is that what you were thinking? Grab a notebook and journal your responses to each challenge, maybe sketch out an idea for a layout design, have particular photos in mind? jot them down and where they are located [ie: on your computer, in a box, etc].
  • -Ohhhhh….I wish I had the extra money to join Brook Noel’s online class: Overcoming Procrastination. I’m thinking if I could find out the reason why I procrastinate, and the type of procrastinator that I am, could totally benefit my life, which in return would lower my stress level.
  • -The Rubber Punkin has an adorable Valentine Freebie to download.
  • -One World-One Heart 2010 Magic Carpet Ride, and I’m ticket holder #14, with 437 comments at this moment. Please help me meet my personal goal of 500 comments.

Another movie is waiting for my attention, so until tomorrow…here’s to a beautiful month filled with love and accomplishments, and everything good for each of us!

Here’s my card for todays Unscripted Sketches

I’m a bit behind schedule tonight. I drove my two boys to the big city this afternoon to meet up with a friend to head out to see Shinedown in concert [which I wish I'd thought about telling them to grab a ticket for me also--even more so after Matthew called to tell me they are less than 30 feet from the stage..], and decided to walk around a few stores…which of course I lost total track of time.

I’ve been looking for a pink clutch [atleast I think that is what they are called], and to my surprise I found one in Target tonight. Even better, it was regular price $13.00 on clearance for $3.00.

It will hold those necessites for those moments when I’m not in the mood to carry a purse.

  •  -Kristin asked us What’s Your Backup Plan? and I’ve been inspired to organize, delete and back up the [insert gulp here] 15,000+ digital photos that sit inside my laptop–that if lost/damaged, I would never be able to replace them, and represents almost 12 years of mine and my families lifes/memories [insert a very, very big gulp here].

  • -I clipped out the above visual in one of my magazines last month and thought I would share with you all. Don’t get me wrong, I am far from perfect, but I consider everything that I eat, and the plate on the right just makes sense and more importantly, keeps you full [just to throw out one of the many benefits].
  • -I Love Maya Angelou. Dr. Angelou is truly an inspiration and symbolizes the human spirit of love, kindness, and peace. Her words never cease to inspire me, and I wanted to share a quote that I feel is amazing…

Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can’t practice any other virtues consistently. You can’t be consistently kind or fair or humane or generous, not without courage, because if you don’t have it, sooner or later you will stop and say, “The threat is too much. The difficulty is …too high. The challenge is too great.”

Well friends, the night is closing in on me and I am going to end my ramblings. Until tomorrow…
